Obituary for Sharon Marie Teertstra (Codling)
Teertstra, Sharon Marie (August 11, 1948 - January 4, 2023)
Sharon passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 74 years old. She joins her late Husband, Jack Teertstra, and her parents William and Marie Codling.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her children Jamie Wilson of Brampton, and Jennifer Garcia (Alan) of Pickering, her Grandchildren Olivia and Ty Garcia, her Brothers Wayne (Paulette) of Victoria, BC and William Codling of Edmonton, Alberta. Sharon is also survived by her Nephew Jason Codling (Mandy), and her Niece Stephanie Codling of Edmonton, Alberta.
Sharon was loving, loyal, and kind to everyone lucky enough to meet her. She spent over 25 years working as a PSW and loved helping others. Sharon loved wild life, history, the Toronto Blue Jays, and had a life long love of playing Bingo.
Her family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Womens Muslim Residence, as well as the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa for caring for Mom towards the end of her life.
Friends and Family are invited to a Celebration of Life on February 5, 2023 at Michelle's Billards from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. 601 Dundas St West in Whitby, Ontario. Donations are gratefully accepted at either the Canadian Cancer Society, Red Cross, or the Women's Muslim Residence.
