EVELYN AUDREY LARGE (nee: Parrinder) October 31, 1927 – April 3, 2021
To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Evelyn Audrey Large (Parrinder), please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
Evelyn Audrey Large (nee Parrinder) passed away peacefully at the age of 93 after living a good long life. Daughter of loving parents Walter and Hazel Parrinder of Solina. Her husband Jack (John) passed away in July 1997 and her sister Mary Earlean in 1936. Her younger sister Helen lives in Millbrook.
Much loved and admired for her independent spirit by her son Robert and his children Kyle, Christopher and Jeremy and her daughter Janet and her husband Steve Forsey and their children Brett (Sonya), Melanie and Troy and cherished great-grandmother of Degen and Owen. Fondly remembered by Dale, Norma, Vickie and childhood best friends Helen and Ruth.
Evelyn travelled the world with her husband Jack and continued to vacation on her own after his passing. She made friends everywhere she went. She encouraged us all to explore new places, try different things and to “get out there and do stuff, keep moving, put one foot in front of the other and get on with your day!” Good advice!
Evelyn was strong, smart, had a great memory, quick wit, and enjoyed a dirty joke! She laughed lots with old friends under the maple tree on Park Street, and new friends at her apartment building on Liberty Street getting together outside to enjoy the sunshine.
You have enriched her life, as we know that she did yours. She has “climbed the hill” and gone for a walk.
Her family appreciates all the care and kindness you have shown her over the years. Take care of yourselves and each other. Thank you for all of your cards and condolences to the family.
Evelyn’s wish was cremation with no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
Special thanks to all Healthcare workers at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Elgin on ambulance, Kathy on Zone 6, Connie, Ashwini, Stephanie, Barb and all in Palliative Care. Take Care and Stay Safe.
