Obituary

HARRIS, PAULINE
April 2, 1941 – January 20, 2021

Peacefully passed away at Ontario Shores on January, 20th, 2021 at the age of 79 years surrounded by her sons. Loving wife of David Harris. Loving mother to Stuart (Brigitta), Richard (Melanie), James (Shanna). Loving grandma to Mackenzie, Emma, Matthew and Abby. Special cousin to Velma and her daughter Beth.

The family miss her, but she will live on in our memories and those stories or tales we pass to our children. That's the immortality of love and the strength of family, however small.

Polly was a strong, independent women who braved new pathways in society with passions for dancing and performing. Her presence was heartfelt and undeniable. Polly contributed many years helping young children beyond her family with work through cub scout and scouts. In her retirement years Polly continued to perform with the “Show Stoppers” and she is survived by many dear friends who loved her as she loved them, very much.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer or Alzheimer’s Society.

There are no events scheduled at this time due to COVID 19.

The surviving family would like to extend a sincere gratitude for all the support given to her by caregivers at Port Perry Place and for the short time at Ontario Shores. A special mention for Genie, Kim, Tara and Elizabeth who were there helping Polly through difficult times.

I am so sorry for your loss. Polly was always a ray of sunshine at the curling club and one of the first people who welcomed me years ago. She will be missed. Linda Moore

I am saddened to hear of Polly’s passing. My memories of her are of a cheerful, positive woman that knew through curling. She shared her dancing skills ( along with Patsy Leamon) at a ladies banquet. It was fun to watch and inspiring to see Polly perform. Rest In Peace, Polly.
