March 5, 1939 – December 9, 2019
On a stormy March day in 1939 Martha Anne was delivered into this world. March had come in like a lion and so did she. The Dr. told her mother and father not to worry about her because she was a fighter and would always take care of herself, and for 80 years Martha did it her way.
Martha’s father and mother Charles and Doris Lennox (nee Norton) recognized very early that Martha loved music and enrolled her in piano lessons, and so began a never-ending romance between Martha and her Heintzman Upright Grand Piano that Lawrence had gotten for her. Martha played the piano for family singalongs, was the organist at the church, accompanied the choir, played for many weddings and funerals, and taught dozens of students to play the instrument that she loved. If she wasn’t playing the piano she was singing, whenever you were in her presence the sound of music filled your ears.
Martha is predeceased by the love of her life Lawrence Harold Farrow and her sister Reta Howard. She is survived and missed by brother Edward Lennox, daughters Lorelei Anne Nesbitt and Shelley Lynn Walton and sons Kenneth Charles and Alan Lawrence. Martha had 11 grandchildren Michael, Kimberly, Robert, Douglas, Francesca, Justin, Kristjan, Maia, Griffin, Clayton and Donovan; and 9 Great Grand Children Austin, Bailey, Trent, Kayden, Kendall, Taylor, Cheyenne, Lucas, Lacey and Tristan.
