Obituary

It is with sadness, deep love and respect that we announce in his 94th year the passing of William Everett (Bill Robinson).
Bill was in accounting with GM for 25 years, a member of the Oshawa Curling Club, St Matthews Anglican Church Oshawa and a lifelong Blood Donor.
Devoted and loving husband to Irene Mitchell (Bowmanville), fantastic father to Rick, Chris (Susan) and Kim (Diane) and adoring Grandfather to Rebecca (Jeff) and Brent (Emily).
Bill had a tremendous intellect paired with a dry sense of humor that made him a great person to know.
Care giver to our Mom for 17 years (Alzheimers) his love and devotion were unparalleled.
Even though he lived an amazingly long life, to those who knew him it wasn't long enough!
Thank you to the wonderful PSWs, and Nurses at Orchard Villa for their kindness, respect and care and to the 3W Nurses at Ajax Pickering Hospital for their care and respect to our father.
Give Mom a hug and kiss from us.
She misses you in heaven as much as we will on earth.
Donations can be made to St. Matthews Anglican Church Oshawa, Ontario

To the family of Bill Robinson,
Sorry to hear of your loss. Tall, lanky Bill. I remember him well, also having spent many years in GMC accounting - mostly in the North Main Office. I started in 1964 and retired in 1993, serving in various accounting departments, lastly in Audit & Financial Controls. Your description of Bill - intellectual and dry sense of humour - is my memory of him. One could get into a discussion with Bill on subjects few others in the office would be much interested in. As with most other people I encountered in the GMC offices, I never became a close friend of Bill, which was my loss. My wife also worked in GMC accounting and likewise remembers Bill as a gentle, friendly person.
P.S. We saw the death notice in the local paper just this week.
Jim (& Sylvia) Slyfield
Middle Road,
Clarington.
